-- Republic Day is celebrated with much Enthusiasm in India, and we should remember the long Journey to freedom and the struggles of our forefathers to transform the country into a sovereign nation. It is a day for all Indians to celebrate the essence of liberty and help Indian accomplish its freedom fighter's dreams.  


History




Republic Day is a national holiday in India Commemorating the adoption of the Constitution of India,
which came into effect on 26 January 1950. The original text of the Preamble to the Constitution of 
India came into force on 26 January 1950. 
 

It was on 15 August 1947 when India received independence, but till then, India was deprived of 
 any constitution of its very own. The laws had been majorly possessed by the Government of India
Act 1935. Later, on 29 August 1947, a resolution was passed to hire the drafting committee,
headed by Dr BR Ambedkar, as Chairman to shape an unbiased constitution of our US. It look

total seating ability for the celebrations will be 77,000, out of which 42,000 seats are being reserved for 
the general public.
 
The parade will be being at 10:30 hours and run for a duration of about 90 minutes. Those involved 
can music into it live from the comfort of their houses on nation-run channels along with Door
 Darshan and Sansad TV. Other local and country information channels will also air the parade live.
